William "Bill" Ritchie, born April 20, 1919, attended WSC from 1936-1939 as a Business Admin major. Part of the 563rd Bomb Squad of the 388th Bomb Group, he was a B-17 Bombardier. His plane went down after a bombing run over Hamburg, July 25, 1943.

Roy Clinton Kohler, born February 28, 1918, attended WSC for one semester in the fall of 1938. A Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Force, he went missing-in-action in July 1944 over France. Believed to be a POW, his remains were never found. Digital Heritage

Willard James Gress, born January 5, 1920, was a chemical engineering major at WSC until he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps in December 1941. Assigned to the 415th Night Fighter Squadron, he died in a plane crash April 17, 1943 at RAF Tinwood, England.
