Damascus, born September 30, 1922, graduated from WSC in 1943 with a degree in civil engineering. Entering the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Lieutenant after graduation, he was killed in action in Northern France on August 22, 1944.
Costley, born June 14, 1925, attended WSC as a chemical engineering major for his freshman year. Enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps, he was promoted to Sergeant. He was shot down over Celle, Germany on April 7, 1945.
Clumpner, born July 16, 1915, graduated from WSC in 1943 with bachelor's degrees in mining engineering and geology. A second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps, he was killed when his plane went down in the North Sea, May 24, 1944.
Bolinger, born September 15, 1924, attended Washington State College as an ASTP trainee from June 1943 to early 1944. An infantryman in the U.S. Army, he was killed in action near Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, January 14, 1945.
