Frank Robbins Moran, born May 28, 1921, attended WSC in the fall of 1939 before transferring. A First Lieutenant and paratrooper, he landed at Normandy and was killed in action on June 15, 1944 near Amfreville, France.
Maximo Paulino Sebastian, born November 18, 1912, grew up in Jones in the Philippines. He attended Washington State College from 1935 to 1937. He joined the Army in 1944, and was killed in action October 25, 1944 in the Philippines.
Grenville Neil Porter was born February 15, 1915 and attended high school in Tacoma. He graduated from Washington State College on June 1, 1941, then joined the Army. He was killed on a Japanese transport ship on September 7, 1944.
James Delbert Kennedy, born January 30, 1923 in Salem, Oregon, attended Washington State College from 1941 until 1943. He joined the Army on September 11, 1943 and assigned to the 6th Infantry Division. He died from his wounds on January 19, 1945.
Billy Dean Hughes, born March 2, 1920, attended Washington State College from 1938 to 1941. He joined the Army Air Corps on December 19, 1941, and he died in a plane crash likely preparing to bomb Wake Island on April 29, 1943.
William H. Hronek, Jr., born August 3, 1919, graduated from Washington State College with a BA in Business in 1941. He joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve, becoming a naval aviator. He died in a head on plane collision on January 23, 1943.
George R. Greene, born June 24, 1920, attended Washington State College from 1941 to 1942. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 21, 1942. Major Greene flew over 110 strike missions and was killed in the Philippines February 17, 1945.
Jack P. Gould was born on August 13, 1917 and grew up in La Crosse, Washington. He attended Washington State College from 1936 to 1937. Enlisting in the Army Air Corps in November 1940, he survived the Bataan Death March but died from disease May 5, 1942.
Born May 19, 1914, Bernard Paul Gillingham grew up in Spokane and was an accomplished athlete. He attended Washington State College from 1937 to 1941, majoring in Forestry. Enlisting in the Army Air Corps in 1941, he died April 11, 1942 in a plane crash.
Henry G. Gilbert, Jr., born September 23, 1919, attended Washington State College from 1938 to 1940. He joined the Navy Air Corps in March 1940. The youngest of the Flying Tiger pilots, Ensign Gilbert was killed in action on December 23,1941 near Burma.
